The position reports to the Dean for Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Transitional Studies, works closely with the Humanities Program Chair as well as art department faculty.
Prepare and teach a variety of art courses, depending on student need and candidates strengths.Course topics include:Two-dimensional design, sculpture and photography.
Masters degree in Art, or closely related field, from an accredited college or university.
Experience in teaching art in higher education.
Experience in managing lab settings for art classes.
Experience with technology in teaching.
Demonstrated successful community college teaching experience in a diverse environment.

Terms of Employment This is an adjunct faculty position for Winter quarter 2015 . The salary for adjunct faculty is $753.00 per credit hour and $376.50 per lab credit which includes scheduled class time and final exam days as well as time for class preparation, weekly office hours, and grading tasks. TCCs art classes are either 55 hours of lecture or a combination of 44 hours of lecture and 22 hours of lab. The class schedule and credits may vary. Classes assigned to the successful candidate will be fully on campus with an online learning management system (Canvas) component for some class materials. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and membership in the TCC Federation of Teachers or payment of a service fee may be required.
